I’ve been selling Phoenix Cards for 7 years and enjoy every minute!
I have been buying Phoenix cards since my eldest child (now 16) started school, 11 years ago. One of my friends had been persuaded to become a Phoenix trader by a relative. However as she had been persuaded, she wasn’t that enthusiastic but before I could offer, another friend took over her Phoenix business and it went wild. I already knew I’d like to be a trader but decided, wrongly I might add, that there wasn’t really enough room in our little village for the 2 of us!! However, I then moved back “home” to the other side of Stockport where there were, at that time, no Phoenix traders so I bit the bullet and joined my friend Carols team. Since then I’ve never looked back and have even recruited several people within my own village!
I’ve had a fantastic time selling Phoenix cards, supported not only by Carol but also several people “above” her who became mentors as my business grew even beyond Carols. Becoming the second level of Phoenix trader, an Executive trader (WHOOP!) came as a total surprise as I wasn’t really trying, but my team had grown over time and it just happened! My business was very healthy and very part time.
Unfortunately my life then fell apart. Over the next couple of years I not only suffered the break down of my marriage, which ended in a very long, bitter divorce, I also lost my mum and during all that also took on some fairly life changing charity challenges for which I had to raise several thousand pounds. All combined had a massive destructive effect on my Phoenix cards business. I was also forced to take a “real” part time job and so my time spent on Phoenix was severely restricted!
Phoenix cards was the thing that had to give in my life, but I did keep it ticking over sending catalogues out to my regular customers and doing school fairs and events if asked. I lost my executive trader status and the profits were obviously reduced, as with everything, you get out what you put in, I think considering I put in nothing I had a good deal really!!
However the fantastic thing with Phoenix is that its flexible and there is no performance pressure. I’m rebuilding my life now and my Phoenix cards business is blossoming again. I’ve not quite got up to speed but my business has doubled again since last year and the future with Phoenix cards is looking great.
